This book was written by an American Catholic Priest who saw the effects of so-called “modern education” on young people, on their faith and their moral character, and bemoaned the loss of principles higher than mere fact and utility. The truth of his observations is even more pronounced in our times than it was a century ago, and though his book was targeted primarily toward young men, his words are equally relevant to all who have been exposed to the scourge of modern morality. This book is a photographic reprint of the 1891 edition by Benziger Brothers.
