When I first began working here I thought I was going to bring God to the Mission. What I discovered was that God was already present, and very much at work, in ways I never imagined. As God revealed Himself through the lives of the homeless He began to take me on a spiritual journey I could not have anticipated, revealing a depth of love and tenderly-clothed power beyond anything I've ever experienced.
This journey is captured in a series of entries from the online diary of [rhymes with kerouac], the anonymous cook of an unnamed homeless shelter that could be anywhere, or everywhere. It speaks to the heart of who we are, and who God is, and the yearning that lies between.
