The Apostle Paul sits in a Roman dungeon, chained like a common criminal. He has been abandoned by many of his friends and associates. In the eyes of men he has been humiliated. He awaits Emperor Nero’s sentence. He expects death. But despite these horrible circumstances he never forgets that he has the privilege of serving the King of Kings, Creator of the universe, Savior, Christ Jesus. He never forgets his calling. Just weeks before his execution he writes this, his final letter to his young friend and associates, Timothy.
