Riley’s characters tend to be forced to adapt to new unknown circumstances and solve what is the unknown. The stories develop with massive detail and feeling. The character growth can only happen when there is change or knowledge and it’s usually bad, in a good way. It’s almost as if you’re put right into the characters’ point of view. You must pay close attention because at any second everything can up and change due to crucial events. The unknown is the scariest for people, this leads to major development on all aspects. The amount of feeling that is projected from the story drags you in with it. Riley forces you become so eager and confused that when anything even small is revealed it makes the reader so invested and definitely doesn’t stop them from reading even faster.
