Before it was the time of the wreckers. Ships lured onto the cost in storms to smash and die. Their goods plundered by men who did not give a dam about the crew. Then came the lighthouse. A beacon that would warn sailors and save live ships property and end the ghoulish industry. But not everyone wanted the light. The sea itself fought back against this intrusion of man stamping his foot into the wild waters of the British coast.
