I Was a Hippie

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
There are Flower Children and followers in every generation and there are those who rebel against authority. The new ideas or social 'norms' that these influences cause in the society at large are not known until a generation or two later. I think the present 21st Century owes a lot to the questioning by so-called Hippies. They pointed out the media and advertising manipulation which was so prevalent. In this regard we see a genuine change occuring in how advertisers have to promote their products. But the governmental changes have not been so far-reaching even though the Berlin Wall came down and appearances of Peace did come about.
