2030 A Great Adventure-Book I is the first in the series, which is now four books and counting. The story involves a family in Owensboro, Kentucky who awaken one morning to discover that it appears that everyone else has died during the previous night. The book opens with the father scavenging for canned food and supplies in a local Walmart story which is damaged but still standing. Upon his return to their home just outside of town, we meet the family members and learn how they survived whatever has happened. It is a story about survival; it is an adventure as the survivors meet others and begin a journey to seek a better place to live and others who have been as lucky as they have. The story is a true adventure with comedy, romance, danger, and tragedy. Each book ends on a "cliffhanger" that leads into the next Book. There is no vulgar language or lurid sex scenes; my books could be read by my children or yours. Yes, the story does have the survivors pondering the questions of life and death, but don't we all do that. It is worth your time to read this and the other books in the series.
