About Robert Chantler

I am a psychotherapist, teacher and radio presenter as well as a playwright, and have been writing plays since 1995, some of which have been adapted and broadcast on radio.. Writing is my great passion and having met many colourful characters over the years, I find writing them into plays very rewarding. I think my professional background gives me the insight I need to write characters well and I love a good laugh, which is why nearly all my plays are comedies. My radio shows centre around jazz (Rob's Jazz Club - Sunday 1pm on Radio Wey,) and a light hearted current affairs show which is a cross between The News Quiz and Question Time (In My Opinion - Wednesday 8pm on Radio Wey.) You can listen anywhere in the world on www.radiowey.co.uk I have made all my plays available to am dram groups royalty free and have offered any help including making rehersal scripts available.
