Land of Giants

These tales are from the mythical land of giants where midgets live. If their world looks remarkably like ours it is because at root the two are (nearly) identical. As the author says, “it is a world like any other, as one might find any morning upon waking up; it is their life, such as it is, not perfect but better than most and the envy of all. Its principle of unity is division; all parts in disarray form a total harmony.” The style is concise, forceful, peppered with humorous turns of phrase.
