Morton, the Telepathic Cat

Morton, a 12-year-old cat, has the ability to plant ideas and suggestions in his humans' minds, mostly to get them to do his bidding. When Morton learns that the Evansport City Council has passed a new leash law that includes cats as well as dogs, he persuades the Town Cats to go on strike by not killing any more mice and rats. As he predicted, the rodent population increases to alarming proportions. The novel also features Trousers, Morton's sixth generation offspring, who comes to live at White Home as Morton's apprentice. They team up to find a way of stopping the Cat Killer, a vicious human who runs over cats with his black van. Written for young readers, Morton, the Telepathic Cat contains 143 pages packed with feline adventures.
