Splendor in the Grass

A broken, abused woman crossed my path just after I had buried my wife of thirty-five years. She shared my love of the outdoors and poetry. We were drawn to each other with a promise for a shared healing. Then after falling in love I find she has a quirky mannerism, one that would stop a normal man from progressing further. I found it an incredible joy and something to enhance a life together.
