ByRobert Mann

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
An Inuit boy and his American friend embark on a rescue mission to save the American boy's father. It is the twenty-second century. Global warming, the Great Arctic Oil Disaster, rising ocean levels, and a worldwide epidemic have taken a heavy toll. Criminal cartels compete for control of world energy resources and have taken hostage the American boy's father, an engineer whose company has invented an amazing new energy source: "solar wire." The boys' journey takes them from Nunavut to South Florida. They are assisted by an Amish family, relatives of the inventor of the solar wire. This futuristic, multicultural, "green" novel was written primarily for young readers.
