Eve Immaculate

Fifteen-year-old Eve London has been flying under the radar her whole life, but now she might be pregnant with the new Jesus, and that will certainly get some attention! After losing her best friend, Grace, in a tragic accident, Eve just wants to disappear. Grace was deeply religious and Eve is certain that the only way she can cope is to try to find her through God, so though religion is foreign to her, she is trying hard to believe. Grace’s grieving mother is only too happy to embrace Eve and wrap her in cake and Bible stories. When Eve discovers she is pregnant, though she has never even kissed a boy, she assumes her newfound faith in God has led her to an Immaculate Conception. Eve’s atheist mother is shocked and devastated when Eve announces she must keep this baby to understand why she was chosen, and how it might lead her to peace about Grace.
