In a livestream event we held many years ago, the topic of euphoria came up.
We were discussing how the medical field diagnoses trans people with gender dysphoria, and we wondered what "positive diagnoses" might look like, such as being able to receive beneficial care for positive things that still affect our lives. Affirming care for gender EUPHORIA instead of dysphoria. How would that come about? Neither of us were doctors, but the idea stuck with each of us.
Now, with this magazine, we want to explore the topic of euphoria, or the absence of it.
Artists were asked, “What brings you euphoria? How does your body feel? How does it react? Put it into art and let us see what your unique experience holds.”
Please note that the following artwork and poetry contain explicit content, including referencing sexual abuse, trauma, reclaimed slurs, injury, and more.
