Mega Problems In the Mega Mountains

This research focuses on the reduced number of megachurches in the Appalachian region, located around the Appalachian mountains of the United States of America. This region is generally poorer and less educated than the other regions of the country. These factors along with the dwindling availability of qualified and willing pastors, has led to a megachurch decline in the region. The research focuses on three main factors: the pastors, the socioeconomic disparities and the education gap of Appalachia, all of which contribute to a low number of Appalachian megachurches. This research does not give definitive causations, but it provides a series of relative and correlative data.
