Pinwheels Readers deliver colorfully illustrated stories for new readers and writers or those who struggle with literacy. Stories are controlled for the phonics and spelling patterns introduced in the Pinwheels Year 1 comprehensive curriculum. Level 1 stories start at the very beginning of reading, providing repeated practice with short vowel sounds along with a steady introduction of consonant sounds. Every reader applies new concepts and spelling patterns while also including review for previously learned concepts. Each story features meaningful text, a list of concepts that are covered within the story, a discussion prompt, and a fun activity!
