Pinwheels Readers deliver colorfully illustrated stories for new readers and writers or those who are struggling with literacy. Stories are controlled for the phonics and spelling patterns introduced in the Pinwheels Year 1 comprehensive curriculum. Level 2 stories provide repeated practice with short vowel sounds along with a steady introduction and practice of consonant sounds. Every story applies new concepts and spelling patterns while also including review for previously learned concepts. Each story features meaningful text, a list of concepts that are covered within the story, a discussion prompt, and a fun activity! Level 2 also offers 6 interactive Reading Challenges, providing additional practice with titles, illustration, and writing prompts.
