The Sugar Candy Blues is a noir sexual thriller about the horrific killing of a girl in a small Mid-Western town. The local Police Chief struggles to catch the killer as his marriage collapses and all fingers point at the new gas-station owner, an unpopular outsider and the Chiefʼs only friend. Examining small town hypocrisy and the destructive nature of sexual obsession, traditional values in a hyper-sexualised world, The Sugar Candy Blues is a portrait of three characters pushed to the edge of madness through sexual excess.
