Introduction to Chemistry

This textbook provides a set of lectures suitable for the first college chemistry course, or an equivalent self-study course at that level. The book provides historical background and insights to aid in clarifying chemistry as it is typically taught. In this text, problem sets are avoided in favor of description of chemical principles.
