Flying High In Literacy (Hardback)

A young girl from Svalbard Island in the Arctic Circle, releases a big red balloon one day. Attached to the balloon is a letter. A week later the children of Windhill Primary School look out of their classroom window and see the balloon stuck high in a tree. They rescue it and find a letter attached that says "Open Me!". An imaginitive, literary journey begins for all the children which takes them on a learning adventure that improves their literacy skills and fires their imaginations... The book documents a creative learning project devised by Bird&Bee to aid literacy attainment through the use of a provocation. Includes resources and further information.
