One Wish

I wheezed. It felt as if all my ribs had broken. In a mixture of pain and anger, I propped myself up and said, “I wish you would get out of here, you monster!” Then suddenly, as if I controlled the entire universe, Phat George was pushed back down the hallway and smashed into the wall with tremendous force. He almost stuck to the lockers for a moment, suspended off the ground, then he fell down, motionless. I was stunned and paralyzed--I didn’t do that, right? I couldn’t have done that.
