Written between Manchester and Canterbury during a period of power and unemployment, Bread and Honey explores rot, longing, friendship, the importance of history and what it may mean to laugh maniacally at oneself in a mirror, all whilst lightheartedly reminding us that life is a dark coil towards an unknowable and certain doom, and that it is to be enjoyed. This is the author’s third full collection and marks definitively his graduation from rising megastar to masterful juggernaut, he says.
