‘Emancipation’ is the fourth in the series of ‘A Caribbean Family’. The action of the novel is inherited by wider, second generation characters of the Nathan clan, as they move forward, exhibiting ideals of the original founding members. The desire to spread education amongst and within the community being their main goal after survival, which up to this point, is very nicely managed.
