The book tells of a kingfisher whose home near the coast in central Israel is destroyed by building works. Distressed, he flies north till he comes upon a beautiful garden on the slopes of Mount Carmel behind the city of Haifa. By asking the resident birds about the buldings and monuments in the gardens, he learns about the history of the Bahá'í World Centre. But the tale is completed only after he has flown across the bay to Akka.
This unusual and lavishly illustrated book provides a delightful introduction to the history and teachings of the Bahá'í Faith.
