This book is compiled of over 500 pages of letters from my grandparents to their parents and other family members. Most of the letters are from their travels to, and life in China in the 1920's. My grandfather, Richard H. Meade Jr., went to China after signing up to be a Medical Missionary for a 5 year term. He married my grandmother just weeks before leaving on this epic journey. My grandmother was 23 at the time, and had a lived privileged life. China was divided at this time in a civil war, and made life a little more interesting for them. The letters are engaging and interesting.
