A collection of poetry and short stories from Balliol Classicist Scott Carless. Shadow Town is Scott Carless’ first published book, a collection of poetry and short stories that range from the sublime to the ridiculous. From the poetry of a postman worn out on the pavements of a featureless town, to the dystopian science fiction of ‘Nightwatchman’ Carless leads the reader through a dark, careworn and, at times, comedic world.
