Not Practical

This thesis takes as its primary inspiration the model of a child at play, wandering without purpose on the structures of his or her world. What new experiences might we discover if we encountered an architecture built solely for the purpose of wandering? What new things might we learn from experiencing things solely produced for a child’s wonderment? By offering structures of play, this thesis hopes to undermine and provide alternatives to our typical modes of moving through the world in an effort to provide architecture of wander and wonder.
