Within our society, the wealth gap between rich and poor will continue to widen; the cause being the integral mechanism of wealth production within Capitalism. We can affect the rate of widening but not halt or permanently reverse it. Policies involving taxation, distribution of largesse, even inflation or charity may attenuate its progress and some economic policies may accelerate it, but here we show that its progression cannot be reversed permanently.
