Customer Configuration Updating in a Software Supply Network

The release, delivery, and deployment of a software product are complex tasks for a software vendor. The product can consist of different components from different software suppliers, has different properties and features for different customers, consists of constantly evolving components, and is installed on systems of which specifications are unknown à priori. This PhD thesis outlines the problems that product software vendors encounter during the release, delivery, and deployment processes. Furthermore, it provides process descriptions and tools that enable product software vendors to improve these processes and handle more customers at lower costs.
