Islam and Parallel Universes

Imagine that the scientific theory of parallel universes is true. What would such a discovery mean for religion? If prophecy is a fact, how can it be compatible with free will? If a prophecy is fulfilled, then every factor and every person that acts to fulfill it cannot have been able to exercise free will. A series of parallel universes may enable such questions to be resolved. Religion and science may not be as far apart as is generally assumed.
