‘Whimsical Magazine, Tales Of Portraits... Whimsical Magazine is a new independent fortnightly publication aiming to highlight and sublimize portrait photography in all its forms, envisioned as a work of art. Additionally to awesome and unique editorial or commercial portraits, every issue will consist of interviews and articles spotlighting talents, from every part of the world, who will inspire every photography and image enthusiast and stimulate you to excel in your art, in order to make you live your passion more completely. Passion, creativity, emotion and audacity are our 4 watchwords. Marta is the photographer behind the lens. She has always loved photography and was forever busy chasing the perfect shot on various subjects. But she only found her passion subject when, one day, she went and photographed her pregnant sister : ‘We had limited room and light, but the end result got us both crying from joy. None of my previous work gave me such emotion, so I wanted to perfect it. Soon enough, I started doing it for a living.’ She stands out from other maternity photographers in Brussels and its surroundings by offering a concept around all inclusive photoshoots : ‘When you come to my studio, you are greeted by my team who will get you ready for the shoot in backstage. You will get a professional hairstyle, make-up, get different outfits, accessories and shoes from the studio wardrobe, and then you simply step out for the shoot where I’ll be waiting, already knowing your wishes. I’ll guide you through different poses and we’ll shoot with different outfits for the next hour or two. So it’s really that simple. Everything is ready for you. All you need to do is show up and we do the rest for you, all in one, all in one place. This is actually cheaper than if you would organize parts of it on your own and spend time traveling from place to place (also searching for outfits can take a whole day!).
