Passion, creativity, emotion and audacity are our 4 watchwords. Introducing Rune Holthen... Rune Holthen and his wife Anita are the gifted photographer and designer behind the lens. Rune’s photographic journey actually started in the analog world all the way back to 1983 and a darkroom course. Indeed, It was following this course that his enthusiasm became palpable and his Nikon camera became his most faithful life companion (after his wife Anita of course!) But that’s at the age of almost 60 that Rune finally took an education in the topic of Advanced Portrait Photography and got a bachelor’s after 4 years. ‘It was a natural transition from landscape pictures to what I have always had as my favorite, namely portraits and mainly the beautiful female gender both in the studio and out in the Norwegian nature.’ This is how his wife and designer, Anita, came up with all the creative ideas and inspiration, making costumes, dresses and most of the props for their photoshoots. ‘Our collaboration is unique and is the driving force behind the artistic in what we do.’ «In a portrait, I’m looking for the silence in somebody.» Henri Cartier-Bresson Have a good read!’
