“This is so boring.” She leans over to whisper. “I wish we could leave.” “I might just do that.” I nod to the door. “Don’t!” She says back sharply, barely staying at a whisper. “Why shouldn’t I?” “Because you’ll get us in trouble!” “Why both of us, we both know you’re not gonna run.” I challenge. “I-I don’t have a good answer to that.” She admits, “And I would too run!” “Really?” “Really.” She sits up defiantly. “Then do it.” I say, looking around to make sure no one’s watching before starting to slip out of my seat.
