Aria Turner hails from a long line of musicians. As befits her name, she has a great voice. But she would rather use it in a sparring competition than a stuffy concert. Speaking of which, she’s training to win a gold medal in sparring, for the upcoming Mugunghwa Championship. That’s assuming the hot new instructor doesn’t kick Aria’s butt for a painful accident….
Roja Destino is trying out for Poomsae for the Mugunghwa Championship. Poomsae requires all their focus. Needless to say, Roja wasn’t expecting to be so distracted during practice - let alone by Aria accidentally tornado-kicking them. Despite the injury from the introduction, Roja realizes their heart is doing jumping front kicks in their chest for this lightweight fighter…
Before and during the Mugunghwa Championship, Aria and Roja find themselves in fights outside the ring. Aria tries to break free of her family’s enmeshment, while Roja struggles against their past heartbreak. Both will need to find the discipline and strength to win not only their medals - but their own personal battles.
