This book teaches multivariable calculus through examples. It is intended as a companion text to a standard textbook or as a refresher. It has been written with the student in mind to make it very friendly. There are a lot of illustrations accompanied by corresponding Mathematica code for appropriate solvers. It can be used for self-study as a source of examples, or as inspiration for instructors looking to construct new illustrative figures for classes. This book includes complete and detailed solutions to examples solved by hand, and most of them accompanied by Mathematica code. All computations were completed using version 13.1 of Mathematica. Readers can use these codes to verify obtained results, and to further illustrate the lessons of the text or to embark on their own exploration of calculus. However, no prior experience of Mathematica is required and readers should benefit from this book even if they bypass the Mathematica code. It is the author’s conviction that these fully worked examples are a valuable learning tool, and by studying the book alongside an active Mathematica session, the reader will learn the subject and gain proficiency with Mathematica. Features: - more than 510 worked-out examples, encouraging self-study. - illustrated by hundreds of Mathematica generated figures throughout. - a companion website for updates, and links to download all Mathematica code.
