Saftar

a wound in the human story

ByStory leGaïe

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Originally written as an article and published in September 2024 on Marginalia Subversiva, Saftar: A Wound in the Human Story captures the immense grief and silences left behind by the erasure of Palestinian lives. The title, drawn from the Arabic roots of “Saftar”—meaning both “journey” and “torn”—reflects the heartbreak of lives cut short, stories that will never be told, and the relentless loss endured by Palestinians. Through vivid and poignant prose, Story leGaïe transforms personal anguish into a profound tribute to those missing, abducted, and erased. Seventy-five percent of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the Gaza Soup Kitchen,  supporting families impacted by ongoing violence. Saftar is not just a book; it is a memorial and a call to hold space for those silenced by oppression.
