An 11 year old boy from a hill family in the Blue Ridge mountains is murdered. A Washington Post reporter with a dark past is arrested by a hillbilly sherrif for the murder. The reporter is charged with 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Child Abuse, a death penalty combination. The evidence is purely circumstantial as there is no apparent DNA evidence or witnesses. A backwoods forensic expert brings the trial to a stunning conclusion.
