Consensus: The White Book

It is the twenty fifth century and the peoples of Earth are at home in space in their silver ships. Earth is a fully paid up member of the Union, an organisation of allied civilisations clustered around one of the spiral arms of the Milky Way who have been at war with the Galactic Fringe and the 10th Sector Alliance for almost five hundred years. However, a recent breakthrough and a new Federation offers hope of peace throughout the entire Sector. When news of first contact with strangers from beyond the Solar Desert arrives, everything is upset and disturbed. Can this new peace between old enemies be cemented, or will it be destroyed before it is born? People already fearful of change now face the one thing which will change everything forever.
