REFLECTIONS

The IT industry, arguably like no other, has been in the forefront of transforming directly and indirectly the urban landscape and lifestyles in India in the last 2-3 decades. Needless therefore to mention, many a book has been and continues to be written about it – most related to the business and management side of it or to the technical side. This book does not purport to address either of those segments. Instead it takes a humorous look at some of the business-as-usual facts and practices in the IT industry. The book is a compelling read for all IT professionals – veterans or tyros or aspirants – and to non-IT persons as well. In a refreshing departure from the routine, the author gives an ‘insider’ view of things in a typical IT organization. The topics are in no particular order, although, the racy style laced with interesting and hilarious anecdotes, make it worth a read in probably a single session. Behind every laugh evoked is a message subtly conveyed.
