To my dog, Denver, dying of Bone Cancer. Turned five years old May 14th, 2024. Diagnosed with Inoperable Advanced Stage Bone Cancer July 31st, 2024. Each day together we have left is a blessing. No dog ever loved me this much and nor have I thought possible to love a dog on this level.
I release you to the sky
to fields of barkless clouds
and butterfly winds
dances in cool waters
across Frisbee-kissed Horizons
It'll be a long road to accepting
that Heaven called you back,
short of Angels.
