The scare crow and the rose is a short story a modern day fairy-tale written Meta physic and philosophical style, “a love story simple and true about waiting, wanting, love and honesty”. The book is set in country field and starts with the scare crow looking across at Rose he loved for as long as he can remember. From here we travel into the mind and the and the soul of this Scarecrow touching his emotions as he stares at her his love. The Scarecrow is simple, self-aware quirky but also a keen observer of life, we watch him wrestle with his own emotions and self-awareness. We are intrigued by his wit and made to feel very human by his desire, passion, struggles and perceptions of beauty and love. As we walk along the journey we explore god’s role in all of it and some light Christian themes.
