“The Purpose of All This” Dear reader, There are always two sides to each story. We love to hear about sensitive, moving love stories, tales of couples who succeeded, or ended up together in an almost magical way. The Hollywood glamour got us used to a stereotypical scenario that enables us to see the reality of day to day love. The truth is you don’t always fall in love with the right person. Not all men are goofballs ready to embarrass themselves in front of a lady, and not every woman is a clumsy little girl that will trip over things, love fashion and be quirky all the damn time. We are all different, and we got our own stories, different from what society tries so hard to portray as perfect. We’ve seen couples fight on rare occasions; we turn our backs, thinking we will be luckier. Although we are blind to flaws, that does not mean real love is not imperfectly perfect. Not every crush is mutual or as single as you. For the ones who know the other side of the coin, who got rejected or felt the real unhappiness that affection could bring you, follow me into the abyss of media. My story is not based on dinners and romantic walks, but on everything that made it, her, this... real. I am aware this is not an ideal situation that you crave for a happy ending that will give you hope. But sometimes we need to close doors to open windows. My story might be like many others, yet few wrote or sang about it. I did both. I wanted to channel all this through your soul when you read it and, in your heart when you sing along. Regardless of how you chose to approach this story (read my book, listen to the songs, or both), you are welcome into my world. What you take outside of it is mainly your decision. I am only here to guide you. This is my version of flawed, misguiding, hope-giving love. Take a seat; this journey ruined me before it even started.
