The Maiden Voyage with Ari Hoenig, Jacques Schwarz-Bart, and Kioshi Kitagawa is a visual music composition using the medium of Photonality. Photonality is basically an alternative means of composing music using the music and performance of jazz integrated with the properties of photography. The camera acts as an additional instrument within the performance. The musician becomes the axis which the visual rhythm dance in, out and around.
