FanX is a dungeoneering game, in the OSR tradition. Characters will enter a dangerous maze and try to navigate it, hopefully coming back from its depths (maybe even richer than how the entered). Despite a long tradition doing the exact opposite, here the dungeon is not an underground tomb filled with traps, but the very society the characters inhabit: vendettas, social norms, debts, fealty and love can be as confusing as any maze of corridors and as deadly as any spiked pit. Oh, you also play vampires! FanX features a dice-drop mechanic to create the vampiric society, multiple random tables and procedures to detail NPCs, factions, their relationships and their plans. It should be better played with little to no advance preparation (although we recommend reading the manual first) and is suitable for both one-shots and short campaigns.
