IDUNNA #93 (Autumn 2012) focused on the theme of "The Isles"; specifically, the North Atlantic islands where the Vikings once settled and stayed. Ben Waggoner contributes an illustrated travelogue of ancient sites in Shetland, while Lorrie Wood gives step-by-step instructions for knitting an authentic Faroese shawl. Kveldulf Gundarsson contributes part I of his study of Loki and his role in Northern religion ancient and modern, and Todd Chambers discusses Heathenry as practiced by modern groups in Denmark. About The Troth

The Troth is an international organization of people who are working to reclaim and rebuild the pre-Christian religious traditions of the peoples of ancient Germany, Anglo-Saxon England, and Scandinavia, collectively known most commonly as Heathenry. We welcome all who are drawn to the gods, myths, and values of these old ways. We publish a quarterly journal, Idunna, which features both scholarly articles and more personal and intuitive writings, poetry, regular columns, and artwork. We also publish a growing line of books of interest to Heathens, from practical handbooks and guides to translations of ancient texts.
