Belgium 2006

Marianne and I had not planned on going to Europe in April 2006, or during the entire year of 2006, for that matter. We had Charity in college and Vicki (and Hannah and Tommy) on the way to college. That all changed when Vicki qualified for a year long Rotary scholarship to Liege, Belgium. She left on her Rotary adventure in mid-August 2005. We had not seen or held her for eight months. We missed her, wanted to be with her again, and in some small part, wished to share in her adventure. So ready or not, Marianne and Tom Walsh went to Frenchspeaking Belgium, with only a phrase or two of French gleaned from some audiotapes and 10 night school classes. These photographs tell the story about this unintended, yet wonderful vacation.
