A CCIE offers advice on CCIE Lab preparation, and five complex, intermediate-to-advanced level practice Lab scenarios with solution configurations and task-by-task explanations.
<p>
This workbook covers many of the crucial lessons that CCIE candidates have struggled to learn for several years. It is not "cutting-edge," though, and does not cover IPv6. It also covers ISDN, DLSW+, and IS-IS, which Cisco has announced as of the publication of this Lulu Press Edition) will soon be removed from the Lab.
<p>
The complex redistribution task in Scenario One is arguably worth the price of the book.
<p>
The five scenarios can be done on a relatively inexpensive lab, but could be difficult to adapt to the expensive on-line rental racks, because my lab topology incorporated a four-port "frame-relay switch" router, while leading vendors tend to use an eight-port "frame-relay switch" router.
