The Dialectic

The Dialectic

ByThomas Simpson

Woodrow Babylon is a young statistics student who has just been invited by an old friend to spend the summer residing with a group of young “intellectual bohemians in exile” hoping to create a new epoch of human existence through the method outlined by Hegel’s dialectic. A grand exposition is planned for the end of the summer when their vision for the future will be unveiled, but when the charming sister of the group’s leader gets involved as well, old passions are rekindled, sexual tension is tightened and the intellectual family of the “New Young Hegelians” becomes a little incestuous. In spite of that rather serious description, The Dialectic is filled with irreverent humor and a better love story than your average vampire novel. The Dialectic is about the Millenials, written for the Millenials by a Millenial and is sure to appeal to anyone who's young, or ever has been young, and desires to live that bohemian life.
