33 Something Like a Theory

And now come the vampire bats, and the reason I am going bald from pulling my hair out whenever I read someone else’s version of all this: (This is to do with sharing blood, so, kids, DON’T try this at home … ): “Surprisingly enough, it is not only close family members that get to eat, but also other bats not even distantly related to the one dispensing food.” Funny, I would have thought ALL vampire bats, like all humans, were at least DISTANTLY related. But I digress, while they digest … “Clearly the bats have a choice—free will—and they can decide to share or not to share.” Ummm … no? If the CONCEPT of ‘free will’ is silly AND impossible, without invoking a ‘magic mind’, then my money would be on it NOT happening. Although perhaps the Twilight world is different …
