Themselves Has Been a Gathering

The self is a dramatic affect arising from the live-in theatrical components of everyday immersive spaces. Theatrical elements vary depending upon application within architectural structures in which the self is immersed. I craft experience machines to investigate the elusive notion of experience itself as the constructive force to developing a narrative self. In the post-apocalyptic narrative Themselves Has Been a Gathering in both text and immersive environment, the work offers the audience the ability to become explorers in the ways in which meaning, understanding and rationality arise from and are conditioned by the patterns of one's own bodily experiences.
